New and Existing Systems
Rates start at $17.95/month for existing reprogrammable systems, and $27.95/month for new basic hardwired installations. Verified homeownership, approved credit, and standard 36-month monitoring agreement are all required for service. Homeowners must have an active landline or usable VOIP phone system for either service. If an active landline or useable VOIP is not present, wireless GSM cell service is required, available at an additional $12/month. To be eligible for $17.95/month rate, existing alarm equipment must be compatible with the Central Monitoring Station receivers as determined by a Smith Monitoring® technician. Local permit fees may be required. State taxes may apply to equipment and monitoring rates. Any existing contract with another alarm system company must be terminated before signing a contract with Smith Monitoring®. The customer is wholly responsible for the cancellation of their contract with their existing alarm systems provider. Customers are also responsible for all subsequent cancellation costs. This offer is not valid for existing Smith Monitoring® customers, is subject to change without notice, and cannot be combined with any other offer.
SMART+ HOME® Security Systems
Verified homeownership, approved credit, and standard 36-month monitoring agreement are all required for service. Homeowners converting to Smith Monitoring® must not be currently under contract with any other monitoring company. An upfront fee may apply depending on your SMART+ HOME® package. SMART+ HOME® Plus package requires active internet service and router for use of cameras. Local permit fees may be required. State taxes may apply to equipment and monitoring rates. This offer is not valid for existing Smith Monitoring® customers, is subject to change without notice, and cannot be combined with any other offer.
All installations within the state of Texas will be performed by Forward Home Security, the parent company of Smith Monitoring®. While the initial interaction and phone call may be with Smith Monitoring®, the installing technicians are a part of Forward Home Security.
Alarm System Disclaimer
Smith Monitoring® is not responsible for wireless, cellular, Internet or radio communication services. These services can be interrupted by various conditions including, but not limited to, weather and mechanical failure. Smith Monitoring®'s alarm security systems are intended to prevent and deter residential and commercial crime for the home alarm system user. However, Smith Monitoring® is in no way responsible for any property loss, damage, or injuries as these are issues that the customer or the customer's insurance company is solely responsible for. Furthermore, Smith Monitoring® reserves the right to terminate this agreement and discontinue services upon the customer's failure to make payments on time or repeated failure to correctly operate the system, resulting in an excessive amount of false alarms made. In the event of a false alarm, the customer may be subject to paying court fees that Smith Monitoring® is not responsible for.
Some insurance companies may give homeowners discounts with the installation of a home alarm monitoring system. However, Smith Monitoring® does not guarantee any discounts or reductions to your homeowner's insurance premiums. Homeowners should consult their insurance company for more information.
Refer a Friend
Referred customer receives one month free upon request on initial call. The full name of the customer that is referring the friend (with account in good standing) has to be given upon INITIAL CALL or the "refer a friend" form needs to be submitted in full, prior to initial contact to receive the $100. Program only applies once both accounts have been active for 5 business days with a 36-month agreement. Offer does not apply to opening secondary or multiple locations by current customers. This offer is subject to change.
The cost to transfer service is $199 during the first year of service, and $0 thereafter. Customer must contact Service department in order to initiate transfer of service. Additional restrictions may apply, please contact the Service department for more details.
2 Months Free Special
Offer valid only for new customers. New customer must mention promotion or verify promo code "GETSMITH" during initial sales call to begin claiming discount. Discount consists of two months of service free for monitoring service at $17.95/month for existing reprogrammable systems or $27.95/month for new basic hardwired installations. This offer is not valid for any SMART+ HOME® systems or packages.
